This was my winning entry for the coastersims.com contest "Year of the Ox" about 8 months ago. Since coastersims has gone down, here is a quick synopsis of the rules of this contest.
- The track must be as close to 4707 ft as possible.
- The track cannot exceed 200 ft above the physical ground.
- The track has to be very structurally sound due to it's construction in a seismically active area.
- Since this is being built by the Chinese government, money isn't an issue.
- The ride must be completed in 21 days.
- (EDIT) Ride has to have at least 3 inversions (forgot about this one)
Enjoy your ride, and drop a rate!
Quick note: The terrain for this ride was given in a template and couldn't be altered from that template (with the exception of making tunnels and covering them with 3ds)

The track had some tiny jerks in it but the supports and the 3ds were stunning. A The pacing was amazing in the first and second part but was broken by the brake run. O I have never seen such a explosive layout with a first and second part. Use Newton next time to have better trackwork.

T - For the most part the track was pretty smooth, there were a couple of odd little bumps though. The supports looked sturdy and believable, and the use of the terrain and plant life helped keep this looking fairly realistic.
A - The adrenaline levels were okay, but not wild. because so much of the track was visible throughout the ride it took some of the anticipation out of the equation for me.
O - I thought the originality was pretty good for the most part, though there were some odd bits. Like the shark heads on the top of the cars in a ride that are supposed to be pushing the Year of the Ox as a theme. There were some nice touches, the use of the bamboo and water, and the signage in the station helped carry the theme.

Unfortunately didn't really like this ride. I'll break down my thoughts though:
T: Pretty bad overall. There were jerks everywhere as banking transitions start and end, and the shaping doesn't either A: resemble that of B&M, or B: show the tons of effort and thought it takes to establish a completely new style.
Supports generally looked pretty good, and I can tell you did alright with heartlining and things like that. One thing I like, and that added to both Technical and Adrenaline scores for me, is the changes in height you had throughout the ride. Instead of starting and finishing all your elements at the same height, you changed heights over the course of an element, which I almost always think works well and looks cool.
A: The layout itself is sooo incredibly drawn out that the rider, I feel, has way too much time to anticipate what's going to happen next. Some of the elements continued on too long, like the motion of the helices toward the end. The sustained forces at that point, especially on an inverted ride, can also mean that the rider may go from enjoying the forces and direction changes to not feeling so good when the blood keeps moving away from their head. The interaction with scenery in the tunnels especially added to the score here, as did the changes in height as noted before. The launch into the rolling drop probably added the most to adrenaline for me...though the fact that you stopped the train from a high speed to zero to set up that launch kinda took a bit away from adrenaline. Whereas Maverick is losing speed at its launch, your ride is going very fast, and has the height to continue with the layout. I'd have maybe made the first launch a bit slower, and raised the start of the second launch so your brakes there don't kill as much speed.
O: Pretty original overall...I think it's fair to say this should be your best category. There were several elements that were different than most other out there, and I definitely liked the concept of the launch into the rolling drop. I didn't care for the overall layout, but I will say it was pretty original.

T - Nice work. Nice supports, Gs in check, nice inversions, But there were a couple of bumps in the second half coming out of the Immelman and the end of the left turn before the roll.
A - Great first half. Second half after the Immelman is an endless left turn. That really killed the A. Even if you had rolled to the right instead of the left before the turns into the station, would have made it more interesting.
O - Nice environment and 3Ds add to the experience nicely.

Overall a very good ride. I like the way it went through the hills the way it did. It added to the thrill factor. It was pretty smooth and had some nice curves and inversions
I did have a couple of issues with it. I think the pause in the middle killed the adrenaline a bit. Maybe just use the brakes to slow it to the right speed without the pause would have been better.
It might have been a good idea to slow the beginning ever so slightly. There was a spot in there where the g forces were a smidge high.
Otherwise a great ride.

T: Very nice track and a very nice job on the supports. I didn't really like the stop in the tunnel in the middle of the ride followed by the short launch... It sort of ruined the flow of the ride for me. Other than it it was fantastic!
A: Talk about a thrilling ride! The first luanch to begin with was exhilerating not to mention the sheer size of the ride.
O: Not really that much out there like this one. The layout was sort of strange and a lot of wasted energy but overall a fantastic ride.

Overall I just was taken by the volume of this ride. I had size and speed along with originality. It was a great Idea and was executed flawlessly for the most part.
Pros: - Great supports - Decent trackwork - Great elements - Both launches were amazing and the tunnels really added some adrenaline to them. - Great 3ds/objects.
Cons: - Track could have been smoother - The launches were a little quick for my taste but were still fun - The 3d terrain that was used to cover the tunnels looked a little sloppy

This was a blast to ride. Had a lot of fun on this one... Here's what I thought
T- Very nice track and supports. The supports around the first inversion looked especially nice.
A- Very fast paced ride with well paced elements. The only thing that confused me was the block break in the middle. The train was slowed to 9mph, and then was relaunched into the next inversion. You could have just not slowed the train so much through the block section. That's just my thought though.
o- Nice theming, and loved how the coaster grazed the landscape for most of the ride.

T - great, she is very gentle, has an incredible journey and great investment.
A - One of the most radical reversed that came. The acceleration is very intense, and the rest of the course is pure adrenaline.
O - Very, very beautiful the scenery, the labyrinths of line are very good, I entertained them by reading those cards with the animals, also the rest of the scenario including enviroiment are beautiful. The route of attraction is the most original of all inverted.

T: The layout was good, but a little weird and haphazardly spread out, it may have been better if it were compact. Another thing, B&M doesn't make launched coasters.
A: The adrenaline on this coaster left me speechless. The suspense building up at each launch is what got me! I think the adrenaline could've been sustained for even longer.
O: This is so original I can't rate it less than 11.00! But I have too, huh. I made myself feel sad.

ok first of all i spent the first 5 mins reading all the horoscope posters which was a nice touch, now onto the ride..
B&M/Volcano the blast coaster! what a concept while a tyre launch could have been better, whats to say b&m would stretch to LIM in the future, lets face it the hulk is also a lift hill so tyres work best but for flat the LIM/LSM way seems more natural
The Layout was a bit iffy in places and i wont deney the MCBR after the first launch to me came too early, i mean why kill off all that speed after 2/3 elements, but the ride in general had some flow and the enviro did some great justice

I really liked the flow of the ride, as well as its setting, colors, and scenery objects. And the ride was quite original, although the barrel-roll seemed a bit overused, and there was a lot of momentum robbed by each stopping point. While this carries the atmosphere, gives riders time to take in the scene from different perspectives, and both calms adrenaline and builds anticipation, it struck me as odd and flow-breaking. I'm not saying it was a really bad idea (especially the second tunnel), but I don't know if it couldn't have been employed more strategically. Overall, very well-done.

Nice ride, but there were some flaws:
Tech= The ride was generally quite smooth, but the track work was quite 'iffy' in some places. The supports were good and built extra strong for the seismic region. There was one major problem though, Launches... B&M don't do LIM launches, the tyre launch could have been sub-contracted by the same people who made the launch for 'The Hulk'.
Adr= This was an EXTREME ride, with very strong; constant g-forces and fun inversions. I know i am contradicting myself a bit here but the launch was fun, and added adrenaline; the second launch into the inversion was very suspenseful, although stopping the train before the next launch made it loose too much momentum in my opinion.
Orig= The ride had some original elements and the tunnels and launches under the hill were something i have not seen before. It's a shame that the colour scheme is the same as montu's but oh well.

Technical was good, but there wasn't enough of the ride. The break made the time longer, but i thought you could have done something else with the last turn, maybe another helix. I like the overall hugeness of the ride, and that made it scary. The big immelman was great fun, and the launch is plain excellent. For originality, no inverted B&M coasters have a launch, so that put your rating way up, plus, the signs with all "the year of the rabbit" and stuff was awesome.

T: I found the trackwork to be somewhat lacking. Not bad at all, but definitly not up to par when comparing this to the current rides which are mainly tooled. Also i found the stop in the tunnel and the subsequent launch to interrupt the flow of the ride and a great waste of energy. Other than that this ride is hard to find fault with.
A: Now that launch is just fast. However after that, the elements, due to their large size dont do much for adrenaline. The flow is, as i said, not as good due to stopping and launching from the MCBR.
O: Definitly original in the sense ididnt seeanything likeit before. Very good 3ds and env. But the bare coaster in itself doesnt, IMHO offer that much.

I really enjoyed this ride. It's the first time I've seen a B&M invert be done right. Most of the time it is all about huge elements back to back to back. You didn't do this which made it very original. The launch aspect of it made it more original and it was done in a realistic way which I appreciate.
I was confused with the usuage of LIMS for the first launch and then drive tires for the second. Also, like others pointed out, the same suspense effect could have been given without a full stop. Just slow the ride down a bit and it is just as exciting before the launch kicks in.
I really enjoyed the sweeping curves the ride had as well. Watching the train zip around from the ground made it look very real.

This was a great track, and considering the limitations, you did a great job. However, judged as a normal coaster, its not AS satisfiying.
T: There were some tiny little flaws in the smoothness here and there, but overall more than solid. Good supports also.
A: This gave me some great adrenaline bootsts, but I just didnt like the full stop in the middle... I understand that its meant to build suspension, but for me, that didnt really work out. I had found it better if it was not a full stop, more like 10-15 km/h or something.
O: Thats were you made some serious Points. Though I didnt like the Full stop, I liked that you split the layout in 2 halfs by that, one on the backside and one on the front of the hill. It was great to be launched inside this tunnel and get out of it completely somewhere else than expected. There were 2 Elements I liked really much; this first loop-corks-crew-crossover-thingy and the curved roll, which was executed well in terms of geforces.
Very good ride!

T: Aside from the smallest little opinions I have about the smoothness of some exits from your inversions, it's a magnificent job on the technical portion.
A: Wow! I think I remembered six inversions! And that Immelmann can't be ONLY 200 feet. That thing feels immense, but you pull 4.5 G's the whole way through. The first launch went as fast as you could push it, I believe (94 mph), and the second one was quite the surprise, actually.

This coaster was simply amazing. I love how you built it into the side of the mountain, with the launch and all. Defenatly goes into the all time favorites folder. The play on terrain did alot for this coaster. The sense of high was exaggerated greatly when blasting out the side of a mountain. This was also helped by great pacing. The train flowed smoothly from element to element that their didnt seem to be a period where you realize whats happening thats present on most coasters. Not sure if that last sentience made much sense, but you made your outs and ins of element seem together VERY nicely. Would love to see a sequel.

I really liked this ride. I like the accelerations, the inversions and the layout. I found it quite unique in it's tunnels.
The main thing I did not care for was the complete stop half-way through the ride. That killed the adrenaline for me. I was just getting started when all the sudden you stop.
Your supports were a bit overkill. I know this was for prerequisite 3. But living in earthquake country and being to parks that have been hit with 7.0 and higher. They don't do anything special structurally for roller coasters. But I didn't mark you down for this, as most of your supports were excellent. I did mark you down for a really weird support setup at the top of the hill that looked like it would not support the track it was holding. It needs a 4th support or a cantilevered support structure.
Some things that could have been done better is the "wobbliness" of the turn bank angle. The bank angle seemed to be in almost constant adjustment, rather than picking a angle or direction and have the angles flow. I'm not sure why you used tires in one place and lims in another? The slight turn possibly?
I enjoyed the scenery. It was nice and different.

Absolutely beautiful ride. Aesthetically it was great, supports were very well thought out, very B&M, and looked spectacular. Track work could have used a little work, especially at the top of the diving loops, also the use of friction wheels for the second launch was a little confusing. I would of used LIM's for the brakes before the second launch (just because it is a harsh stop and would wear down the brake pads over time). I also would have used LIM's for the second launch as well, just becuase if the trains were built for it, why not use it? It seems odd to be switching launch methods throughout the ride.
Adrenaline was amazing, loved the launch tunnel and the long plummet down the hill after it, second launch was very unexpected, but worked very well in building suspense for the seond half of the ride. The length was also perfect, the track had a good number of unexpected elements but still seemed to end at the right spot, it did not seemed dragged out at all (which is kind of rare for most coasters here and at coastersims). Great work with the terrain too.
Lastly... a realistic and well built B&M inverted coaster with 2 launches? I would call that original.

T: Great trackwork and use of 3Ds! I loved the first launch, and the low lying turn towards the far side of the ride. To me, it was flawless, and flowed really well alltogether. Support work was great, and 3Ds station added a nice touch to it.
A: A great ride throughout Lots of swooping turns, although I felt the last turn was a tad on the slow side. Great feel overall though. The launch inside the tunnel, while not new, get really interesting comming out the other wide of the hill.
O: I'd have to say I've never seen anything like this before. Definately the most unique B&M Invert, although I think it could have benefitted from a longer track and possibly another tunnel or two?
